Bach, Haydn and Beethoven at the Australian National Academy of Music

The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) is one of only a few professional performance training institutes in the world, with 70 young musicians from Australia and New Zealand spending 1-3 years before going on to work in orchestras and ensembles across the world. ANAM alumni can be found in the Australian Chamber Orchestra and most state symphony orchestras.

This concert features ANAM musicians playing:
JS Bach Orchestral Suite no.3 in D major, BWV 1068
Haydn Symphony no.100 in G major, The Military, and
Beethoven Symphony no.2 in D major, op 36

The performances are directed by Howard Penny, one of Australia’s finest cellists, who has had a long association with Nikolaus Harnoncourt and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.

The Harvard Club of Victoria event will include entry, drinks and canapés before the concert and interval finger food and drinks in a private room.

Pre concert drinks and canapes will be served at 6pm for 6.15pm. The concert begins at 7pm when doors will be closed until a suitable break in the music.
