Melbourne Dinner in association with the Harvard Asia Pacific Alumni Leaders Conference

Harvard Club of Victoria Members and their guests are invited to join us at a dinner at the Australian Club to greet representatives from the Harvard Alumni Association and some of the delegates to the 2014 Asia Pacific Alumni Leaders Conference.  Our speaker for the evening will be the popular and engaging economist, Saul Eslake.

T
he Asia Pacific Harvard Alumni Leaders Conference is held each year in a major Asian city, and this year’s Conference is being held on the weekend of 14-16 March in Sydney.  On Monday 17 March, the group from the Harvard Alumni Association and some of the Conference delegates will come to Melbourne.  There will be a lunch and walking tour during the day, and a separate invitation will be sent to HCV members who are encouraged to join this event.

Dinner will be held in the historic Ellis Rowan room at The Australian Club.
Pre-dinner drinks will be held in the Domino Library at the same venue.

Our guest speaker will be Saul Eslake, Chief Economist Australia and New Zealand for Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
He has had a long and distinguished career as an economic advisor and communicator for major financial services firms in Australia.  He has been a prolific writer, commentator on both news and policy, and a familiar face in our media, providing user-friendly guides to the economic news of the day. He will speak on the key economic challenges for Australian—Asian relations in the next decade.
