Venetoclax: A success story in medical research innovation and what the future holds.

The Harvard Club of Victoria would like to invite you to a special event on Tuesday the 21st of August at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) featuring a Talk and Tour.

Venetoclax is a new anti-cancer drug, co-developed and trialled in Australia and based on a landmark research discovery made at WEHI. Clinical trials of Venetoclax have delivered outstanding results for patients. One study saw remission in patients with an advanced form of leukaemia, for whom conventional treatment options had been exhausted.

In 2017, WEHI made a landmark deal worth up to US $325M from the partial sale of royalty rights in venetoclax, securing the Institutes place globally for innovation in medical research.

Join the Harvard Club of Victoria as we learn about the Venetoclax story and research into the drugs uses in other forms of cancer.

Drinks and Canapes will be served .
