Harvard Associate Professor Elizabeth B.Klerman on “Sleep: That thing you don't get” 

The Harvard Club of Victoria would like to invite you and your guests to come and and hear from a leading Scientist and world expert on Sleep. This affordable lunchtime event will take place on Wednesday the 26th of October in a convenient CBD location and will include a light lunch. 

Elizabeth B.Klerman will share her latest research on sleep and discuss how you can improve your health and rest. We will also hear about women in science and how to encourage women into STEM.

Dr. Klerman investigates endocrine and circadian aspects of sleep. She is Director of the Analytic and Modeling Unit (AMU) in the Division of Sleep Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School. She is responsible for landmark studies involving melatonin agonists on sleep and circadian rhythm (cover article in Lancet, 2008) and the effects of chronic sleep restriction (cover article, Science Translational Medicine, 2010).  Other interests include sleep and circadian rhythm in the blind,  sleep and performance in the aging, the effects of chronic sleep restriction on neurobehavioral performance and alertness, and the effects of light and darkness on circadian rhythms.
