Behavioural Insights and Gender Equality

The Harvard Club of Victoria and ShineWing Australia cordially invite you to a lunch presentation on Friday the 15th February 2019. 
 
We are fortunate to have Professor Iris Bohnet, who will speak and participate in a discussion about “Behavioural Insights & Gender Equality: How can we make it easier to move from intention to action”. Jerril Rechter, CEO of VicHealth, which has been leading work in promoting gender  equity, will introduce Professor Bohnet and moderate the presentation.

Professor Iris Bohnet
Professor Iris Bohnet is a VicHealth Leading Thinker, in an initiative to connect international thought leaders with senior policymakers and key local experts. She is a Professor of Public Policy and Academic Dean at Harvard Kennedy School, combining insights from economics and psychology to improve decision-making in organizations and society, often with a gender or cross-cultural perspective. Her most recent research examines behavioural design to de-bias how we live, learn and work.
 
Jerril Rechter 
Chief Executive Officer, VicHealth 
Jerril has extensive experience in leadership across the areas of government and not-for-profit sectors and is a World Health Organization Advisor and is Chair of the International Network of Health Promotion Foundations.  Her current Ministerial appointments include Chair of Victoria’s Justice Health Ministerial Advisory Council and membership of the Liquor Control Advisory Council. VicHealth recently created a resource for organisations encountering resistance to gender equality policies, guided by a QUT evidence review commissioned by VicHealth in 2017.
