Megatrends such as changing climate, shifting demographics, technology and an evolving labour market can have significant implications for Australia's future prosperity and security, as they shape the opportunities and challenges that Australia will face in the coming decades. To respond effectively to megatrends, Australia needs to understand their drivers, impacts and uncertainties and respond with long-term strategies and policies.

Our featured speakers on this topic are:

Damien Nicks - Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer at AGL. Damien also Chairs the Australian Energy Council and has a distinguished international career working in the United States and the UK before returning to Australia to work at Linfox and now AGL.

Dr Kendra Vant – Has spent the last decade creating and leading AI and data teams at Xero, SEEK and Telstra. She is an industry leader in driving the development of data and AI products that change people’s lives for the better. Kendra advises a number of Australian and New Zealand start-ups and is an invited member of the Australian Federal Government’s National Data Advisory Council and CSIRO’s National AI Centre Industry Forum.

David Lamont – Most recently Chief Financial Officer at BHP and formally CFO of ASX-listed global biotech company CSL Limited. He has also held the positions of CFO and Executive Director at Minerals and Metals Group and has previously served as CFO for several other multinational public companies, including OZ Minerals Limited, PaperlinX Limited and Incitec Limited.
