harvard gives back

HCV members, Harvard alumni and their guests are invited to give back to our community by volunteering for an evening at the FareShare kitchen in Abbotsford. This biennial club event was well received in 2022 and gathered positive feedback from previous attendees. FareShare rescues surplus food and cooks free nutritious meals for people doing it tough.
 

Guided by an experienced FareShare supervisor, participants process and prepare freshly harvested and rescued vegetables, and assemble and pack single-serve meals, soups and sweet treats for people in need. You will also learn about food waste, food rescue and food poverty in our city.
 

So join us for a fun and rewarding experience while making a tangible difference to the lives of so many in our community.
 

The Harvard Alumni crew will be volunteering until 8:30pm – early enough to adjourn to a local pub or restaurant for supper or drinks if you wish to continue the fun and merriment. Please email mandy@harvardclubofvictoria.org.au, if you would like to join others for dinner afterwards and we will coordinate a booking at a restaurant nearby.
