HARVARD CLUB OF VICTORIA ANNUAL DINNER

The Council of the Harvard Club of Victoria is delighted to invite Harvard alumni and guests to the Club's Annual Dinner in support of our Non-Profit Fellowship on Thursday 3rd October at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.
We have a fantastic evening planned with guest speaker Professor Ian Harper, who will be addressing the critical subject: The Erosion of Trust in Institutions and Expertise. Ian currently sits on the Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia and retired as Dean of Melbourne Business School at the end of 2023. Among many other positions, he chaired the Federal Competition Policy Review, was inaugural Chair of the Australian Fair Pay Commission and has also held senior executive and governance roles respectively in the private sector and Anglican Church.
Ian is a compelling, thought-provoking and highly sought-after speaker and will share his perspectives on trust in Australian institutions - including the Reserve Bank. He will also address the related role of the university. This will be a special opportunity to hear Ian's unique insights drawn from his decades of leadership experience across government, higher education, the private sector and civil society.
We will also hear from one of our 2024 HCV Non-Profit Fellows, who will share experiences from Harvard Business School’s Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management programme, and how your support continues to make a difference to the Victorian non-profit and community sector. Of course, this wonderful evening will also include a fabulous auction and raffle with priceless items in support of the Non-Profit Fellowship.
So catch up with old friends and meet new members of the Harvard community at the Club’s biggest event of the year. It is a warm and welcoming event, with alumni attending from the College and almost every Harvard graduate school. This year, the Club will also be subsidising tickets for non-executive education, degree programme graduates from the Classes of 2024, 2023 and 2022. We hope to see you all there!
In a departure from recent practice, we will be holding a separate online Annual General Meeting this year on 16th October 2024. Please look out for the email soon.

Time: Dinner 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start
