Lance Armstrong: Hero or Villain?
with Ted Blamey, MBA, CEO, Educator
Thursday 12th March 2026

Following the success of last June's sold-out event “Leadership Lessons from the American Civil War” (overall rating 8.8/10), we are delighted to offer another Masterclass "Lance Armstrong: Hero or Villain?", an interactive session using the legendary Harvard Business School case method. We will explore issues of leadership and loyalty, values and moral dilemmas. It is based on a celebrated longer case study by HBS.

This stimulating and enjoyable event is suitable for people of all backgrounds and ages. It is particularly beneficial for early and mid-career executives and professionals, those eager to experience the Harvard case method, and anyone who embraces leadership and ethical challenges. HCV members, Harvard, MBS and other school alumni and guests are all welcome, from upper high school through board level.

Our presenter is again Ted Blamey (details below) who has led this and other case discussions for various groups to wide acclaim. Participants will put themselves in the evolving situation and, through guided discussion and debate, pick apart the challenges, options, goals and risks, navigating how they make decisions when the stakes are high.

The 8-page case itself, which is essential preparation, will be sent out to all participants in advance to generate robust debate.
